The Master of Science in Robotic Surgery (MSRS) degree is designed for physicians (attendings, residents, and fellows) with a surgical focus in a variety of specialties, including general surgery, gynecology, urology, bariatrics, thoracic, and ENT. The program is accepting applicants worldwide.

An admissions requirement for this degree program is the Certificate in Advanced Robotic Surgery (CARS), facilitated by the AdventHealth Nicholson Center. This one-of-a-kind certificate program is taught by highly skilled and advanced physicians using best practices in robotic surgery.

The collaboration between the Nicholson Center and AdventHealth University Online provides an opportunity to expand the delivery of robotics education to physicians around the world.

The state-of-the-art center in Celebration, Florida, can accommodate 50 cadaver stations and includes onsite storage management. The Orlando center can host up to 12 cadaver stations and offers advanced operating rooms with the latest surgical equipment and technology to simulate real working conditions. Advanced audio-visual capabilities enable attendees to teleconference in on these events and collaborate with subject matter experts across the globe. Operating room cameras and 25 external cameras even allow trainees to receive a video of what they learn.

This partnership provides an optimal education environment for participants and a fully immersive clinical experience.

This degree program is mixed-modal, requiring both self-study and in-person coursework. Students must complete hands-on robotic surgery training courses at the AdventHealth Nicholson Center for CARS certification, in addition to completing the online coursework outlined in the curriculum and several self-study projects.

MD-to-MS candidates can complete the program in as little as 2 years, with access to world-renowned robotic surgeons and the incredible Nicholson Center.
